The Ritter Collection GmbH, Hotel Park Gstaad, Wispilenstrasse 29, 3780 Gstaad, Switzerland

Protection of your privacy

Personal data is treated as strictly confidential and is neither sold nor passed on to third parties. Every person is entitled to protection of their privacy as well as protection against misuse of their personal data, based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the federal data protection regulations (Data Protection Act, DSG). We comply with these regulations.

We work closely with our hosting providers to protect the databases as much as possible against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or forgery.

SSL encryption

In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (SSL) via HTTPS.

Automatic data processing on this website

  • Browser type/version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
  • Host name of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • Time of the server request.

This usage data forms the basis for statistical, anonymous evaluations, so that trends can be identified and used in order to improve our offers accordingly.

  • Contact data (e.g. email, telephone numbers).
  • Content data (e.g. text entries, photographs, videos).
  • Usage data (e.g. websites visited, interest in content, access times).
  • Meta/communication data (e.g. device information, IP addresses).

Purpose of the processing

  • Provision of the online service, its functions and contents
  • Responding to contact requests and communication with users
  • Security measures
  • Reach measurement/marketing

Establishing contact

When contacting us (e.g. via contact form, email, telephone or via social media), the user’s details are processed for the purpose of handling the contact request and its processing. Users’ details may be stored in a customer relationship management system (“CRM system”) or comparable organisation for handling possible follow-up questions more efficiently.

We delete queries if they are no longer necessary. We review this requirement every two years; furthermore, statutory archiving obligations apply.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that your browser stores when you visit a website. Cookies are used, for example, so that you do not have to log in again when you visit a website or web application repeatedly. Cookies are also used by web analysis services such as Google Analytics to tag the visitor.

You can prevent cookies from being saved by changing the appropriate setting in your browser. This may prevent you from using all the functions of this website to their full extent.

Collection of access data and log files

On the basis of our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 item f. GDPR, we, and our hosting provider, collect data on each access to the server on which this service is located (so-called server log files). Access data includes the name of the website accessed, the file, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider.

Log file information is stored for security reasons (e.g. to clarify abuse or fraud actions) for a maximum period of 7 days and then deleted. Data, the further storage of which is necessary for evidence purposes, are excluded from deletion until the respective incident has been finally clarified.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (hereafter: “Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files stored on your computer, to enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, in the event that IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other Contracting States to the Agreement on the European Economic Area in advance.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.

You may prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly (browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics); however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Google Web Fonts

In order to display our content correctly and in a graphically appealing manner across different browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. Google Web Fonts are transferred to your browser’s cache to avoid multiple loads. If your browser does not support Google Web Fonts or does not allow access, content will be displayed in a default font.

Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible – although it is not currently clear whether and for what purposes – that operators of such libraries collect data.
